TrialNet Risk Screening for Type 1 Diabetes Family Members

                           National Diabetes Awareness Month

 

The TrialNet team from UF will be screening  eligible relatives of people with type 1 diabetes through the Pathway to Prevention Study

Wednesday November 14th  5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Anyone between the ages of 1 and 45 with a sibling, child, or parent with type 1 diabetes or anyone between the ages of 1 and 20 with a cousin, niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, grandparent, half-sister or half-brother with type 1 may be eligible for testing at no cost.

                     Relatives who are found to be at a greater risk, may be eligible to participate in ongoing monitoring, or join trials aimed at preventing progression of type 1 diabetes.
